SIG 2 - Intervention and Facilitation

Content

This group focuses on interventions and facilitations in the field of scientific reasoning and argumentation. We analyze and compare studies from different fields that use different kinds of interventions to foster different skills or epistemic activities in the scientific working progress. In the future we want to have a look at the members’ own interventions or facilitations in their study projects to give each other feedback on the plans as well as to be able to develop "conditions for success".

Main Aims

Collect different interventions and facilitations of scientific reasoning and argumentation across domains and develop a database, create an overview (Information package) of what kinds of facilitations/interventions exist (identifying and comparing success of interventions, effects sizes), discuss "conditions for success" in studies, as well as necessary information an article about an intervention study in the field should contain.
