SIG 8 - Operationalization and Coding of Scientific Reasoning and Argumentation

This SIG is special in a sense that it is a student initiation. Recognizing the relevance to develop a common coding framework on the theoretical basis of Fischer et al. (2014), we decided to create our “coding group”. The main aim of this group is to develop a general coding scheme to capture the epistemic activities of scientific reasoning across individual PhD projects and in different domains. One focus is to clarify what can be considered as 'epistemic'.
