ET 6: Technology-Enhanced Learning and Collaboration
Research in this area is concerned with how learning and collaboration are affected and can be supported by advanced technologies. This research team focuses on the exploration of learning and knowledge processes in contexts of social interaction, ranging from dyadic problem-solving to collective knowledge-building in online communities. Investigation, building on this analysis, looks at how advanced technologies can be used to structure and facilitate these processes (e.g., by 'scaffolding' or 'scripting'). Methodologically, experimental research methods of Educational Science and Psychology are combined with design research methods of Computer Science.
