Integration of empirical findings into teaching environments

Current project: Guest talk in a lecture for teacher’s education on learning and teaching scientific reasoning and argumentation

This lecture will be held in the WS 2014/15. It will emphasize the importance of supporting scientific reasoning and argumentation in the school context by providing a general overview for various teaching domains and will focus on techniques and theories of how scientific reasoning and argumentation strategies can be fostered in classroom settings.

A special feature of the lecture will be the inputs provided by doctoral students of the REASON program. They will introduce approaches to scientific reasoning and argumentation and refer to the practical implications of their empirical findings for learning and teaching.
