I graduated from LMU Munich in Educational Sciences with a special focus on early childhood education, research methods, and instructor-learner interaction. Also at LMU Munich, I obtained my Master’s degree in Psychology: Learning Sciences with special focus on instructional approaches to promote self-regulated learning, the role of the instructor, and emotions and learning. I gained practical experience in designing learning environments and teaching in higher education as teaching assistant. In addition, I worked in several research assistant positions at LMU Munich. During my time as visiting student researcher with Prof. Marcia Linn at UC Berkeley I worked with her research team in the WISE (web-based inquiry science environment) project.
