Thesis topic: Immigration and educational success. A study on female immigrants holding a German university degree

Abstract: For a very long time Germany simply denied the issue of immigration. It was only some years ago, after many political debates, that the frameworks for integration were created. Germany, as a nation in global politics, is portraying itself as an immigration country. However, as a society it has only recently started perceiving itself as such. For a long time immigrant women were neglected in the discourse. Therefore, the suggested project will focus on female immigrants living in Germany, especially on those who have graduated from a German university.
